AKA Signum 2FS will work with 4D coils, like this:
    2014_05_17_2192.jpg
4D coils - big DD and small DD - all in one housing (patented). Also 2 frequency detector. But, depend on the soil condition operator can choose different modes:
    - one coil / one frequency
    - one coil / two frequency
    - two coils / two frequency
What are the advantages of this?
When we are in contaminated sites with many irons - need small coil and high frequency. OK, we choose to work with small DD coil and high frequency.
If you need a depth greater purpose in a clean place - choose big DD coil and a low frequency with more power.
But the icing on the cake will be the joint work of both coils simultaneously both frequencies :) Much better identification and much better performance in all type of soils.

And what is the difference if compared to Intronik STF? Intronik STF runs 2 frequencies at once as well.

By the way, has AKA already decided to give 2FS project a name "Signum 2FS"?

The difference is in the coil. In fact two coils (big DD and small DD) in one housing.
I am not sure for the name...

Even AKA cannot say when and how much. I understand that release(s) are postponed just because AKA wants these metal detectors to be 100% complete and with no bugs

You can wait a year or 2 years or even more...

    top AKA tester's post translation:
    ***qte***
Andrew (Mr. Jatagan), you misunderstand the goals of the tests (SuchMuch's remark: check threads: "AKA has Invaded Minelab's Territory: Intronik STF vs GP3500" and "Minelab's Revenge: Intronik STF vs GPX 4800") and entire plot of the project "AKA Intronik STF". Multi-frequency metal detector Intronik STF is a base for upcoming range of multi frequency metal detectors operating STF (simultaneous two frequency at once) technology. These upcoming detectors will be designed to meet all metal detecting needs: from gold prospecting to treasure hunting...

Therefore there are some stages AKA Intronik STF to pass by:

    1. Maximum depth of detecting metal objects in vast kind of grounds (with ferrite mineralization and/or with high conductive qualities). Metal detector STF, Intronik should be stable with high sensitivity in hash conditions. The task is completed (Intronik STF competes successfully with Minelab GP(X) series).

    2. Implementing identification algorithms. AKA is working on this. Delta hodograph allows to identify and separate non ferrous objects from ferrous at depth nowadays instead of Minelab GP(X)'s just detecting of metals with no identification provided at depth.

    3. Specifying metal detector models specially designed to solve different tasks.

Once these stages are completed, AKA will work out "trash programs", sound schemes etc.

like predicted :( ......probably nobody know which one woud give better results even compared with Intronik ...
