Do you ever confront yourself with other metal detectors?
Every time I go with friends to metallize, I look at their metal detectors.
For now no one made me regret my Signum. Never anyone.
the only weak point is highly mineralized soils. Where I still have some problems.

If you know yr metal detector (whatever tm it is), you feel comfortable and do not regret at all.

Proper set up and right coil is what you need. Right coil is 50% of success

No, AF filters short signals with high amplitude. Check this: "AF1, AF2, AF3 - What These Modes are About?"
As to recovery speed it's all about MM Rate, S algorithm and Normal mode have fixed rate that is equal to MM Rate on 1

I think I will start this wintera new project: Signum Ultimate user manual (for PROs ), It is the only way to have in a single book as much information as possible about Sig

I will start as a base with the original manual and I will fill in, with everyone's help of course, all the missing gaps and forum comments. In principle I will do it in Spanish (obviously) and see if it can be translated decently into several languages.

Suchmuch I will ask you lots of questions :Yes:o_O

It would be interesting to make a section also with the various settings depending on the type of soil

I do, I'm lucky I became a friend of a detectordealer and he asked me to try new machines out for some writing on his website. After many hours searching I bring my signum with me and search some real targets, put a flag on them and later check them all out with the test machine I got and dig em up. I'm still happy with my AKA's :). But have to admit some new machine's can keep up depth wise (on our grounds) :). But like always, there is no machine with such a damn nice sounds as the AKA's :O!

And after all, the machine is as good as the guy behind it can operate it... I saw people with high end machines I literally could keep up with a 50 dollar machine for kids... lol.
