Just a few hours a couple days ago. Nothing great popped out of the ground. Going to try again tomorrow if I can get up early. I work 3pm - 11pm so getting up early isn't easy. I like sleep :)

Are finds drying up out there, or like me, just not able to get out at the moment.
Tig had an amazing find or should I say finds. Anyone else finding much?

Did get out last night for a few hours, found a schoolyard with some softer ground areas to do some plugging, the place I had planned on hunting was being used by baseball players. Ended up at one of my so-so favored places just down the road. I named Canslaw City. There's only two detectors I found that can navigate thru this place finding more coins than canslaw--Deteknix Quest and White's IDX. Becuase I wanted to test the new wireless Deteknix headphones I grabbed the FS2 with 5" coil (GoldBug Pro Clone). After 2.5 hours had a pouch crammed with canslaw from small to large pcs. Only about 8 coins for my effort, a lousy $1.35.

Hard to say with the Berkut but the canslaw with so many sizes and shapes and the wide spread of target ID numbers and so many ID sectors.......tough enough with Canadian clad coins with the crappy steel, nickel composition which have bouncy numbers to begin with. The canslaw can mimic the clad coins and hodo signatures. You more or less have go by the audio signal and width. I think I had the Berkut over at Canslaw City at one point with the 6" 14khz coil and dug slaw. The FS2 is on 19khz, the Quest is on 13khz and the IDX is on 6khz. So maybe the trick is a lower khz coil in dealing with canslaw? Might make for a good experiment, head back there one more time to see how the Berkut reacts for sure.

I visited my local school a short time ago. In one of the corners of the grounds, there are some very old oak trees, so I'm thinking woodland many moons ago.
Ally was everywhere, I targeted in on straight lines with in a certain range on the hod accompanied by a good tone.
Now and then I would dig a little higher on the hod and confirmed it was ally.
Came away with loads of change ( coppers )and one silver.
I know good targets maybe missed, but I just did not want to extract every piece of can slaw.

,ringpulls only occupy a small window and we in europe avoid notch machines like they carry the plague .
the very idea of not digging due to aluminium is never a option for me ,i will dig it all until its stripped .
i dont know if there are machines with audio that will distinguish a 50's id number piece of lead/silver/aluminum apart .
the only thing you can really do is search for steady numbers a good indicator of a round object . canslaw is not often round so should vary id number when circled ,but so would a 13th cent gold cross . i just couldnt risk ignoring anything in the plus sector

Have you found a 13th century gold cross.

I suppose also its where you are detecting. If in a great location then probably yes I would dig more. In a school yard,..Na,..not for me.

If I set Accumulation on 2 and get two targets together with two audio signals, I might be able to visually see two different hodo lines that I can determine what the two targets are. It works when I put a ring and a rusted iron nail next to each other about 1" apart.
